Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Specialist Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering. This non-tenure track position is for the 2022-2023 academic year and is a two year appointment with the possibility of subsequent multi-year reappointments. Applications received by June 30, 2022 will receive fullest consideration. This search will remain open until filled.

Exceptional candidates in all areas of computer science and software engineering are encouraged to apply. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to software design, mobile applications, web-based applications.

The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering offers three bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering (two programs are ABET-accredited), four Master of Science degrees (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, and Data Science), and a Computer Science Minor and an Information technology minor.

Other Requirements:
Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related field.

Five years of industry experience. Three years of college/university teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in related field. Familiarity with program accreditation and assessment.
