Job Summary
The Administrative Program Specialist reports to the Associate Dean-Academic Affairs at the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business. As the Academic Affairs and Ph.D. Coordinator, the incumbent will provide administrative support to the Associate Dean by facilitating curriculum development and assist with other academic initiatives involving planning and development to implementation and maintenance. The Academic Affairs & Ph.D. Coordinator serves as the Dean's representative on UPC, MBA, MS, and PhD program committees for the curriculum needs and related activities for the Lubar School. The Coordinator also manages the Ph.D. Program, which includes administrative support for faculty, recruitment and follow up with prospective students, preparation of student assessment materials, maintaining student records, preparing annual student progress reports, and assisting in reporting to determine annual funding for the areas.

The Coordinator will also perform enrollment management activities which include research, preparation, analysis, and management of Lubar enrollment data for reporting to the Dean, Faculty, and Program Committees. Additionally, the Coordinator provides administrative support and assistance as needed on projects, reports, and activities to assist the Dean, Associate Dean-Academic Affairs, and others in the Office of the Dean and the Lubar School of Business.



Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of four years’ work experience in Academic Affairs, Student Advisement, or related area in higher education
  • Demonstrated data analysis experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborative with faculty, staff, and students, and across university organizational lines


Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate Degree in Higher Education, Educational Leadership, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with Data Warehouse Software for enrollment management using Hyperion/BRIO or similar reporting
  • Familiar with Higher Education software such as CourseLeaf, Panthera, CGSA, Milestones, or related packages
  • Experience with faculty governance
  • Program management and/or program administration experience
