Job Summary
  • Serve as the University's most senior procurement executive responsible for UWM's procurement and accounts payable operations.
  • Lead strategic and customer service-oriented procurement and accounts payable professionals in support of UWM's mission and strategic initiatives in research, student success and academic excellence.
  • Leverage UWM's technology and resources to support strategic procurement and best-in class customer service to UWM's organization and vendor community.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of procurement or related business experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing a team of procurement or accounts payable professionals





Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership experience in procurement, contracting or accounts payable in large organizations (greater than $100M in indirect spend)
  • Procurement experience in higher education or large organizations (greater than $100M in indirect spend)
  • Experience with complex SaaS or enterprise based financial management and procurement platforms (e.g., Workday and/or Jaggaer software)
  • Relevant industry certification such as, Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Public Professional Buyer (CPPB) or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) is preferred, but not required
