Video and Photo Production Manager (71101)


Location: Brooklyn, NY

Description:
Pratt Institute's Communications and Marketing division seeks a Video and Photo Production Manager who will be a key member of the Creative Services team. The Video and Photo Production Manager reports to the Director of Creative Services and is responsible for managing all video and photo projects from concept to completion. The position requires a high degree of organizational, collaboration, and communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of the Institute: students, faculty and staff.

This position is considered to be hybrid, with the opportunity for both remote work and in-person work on our Brooklyn campus.

Typical work day would include the following responsibilities:
  • Working closely with Director of Creative services in producing video and photo assets within communications and marketing strategies
  • Oversee all phases of video and photo projects, including planning, scheduling, hiring talent, concepting, storyboarding, art-direction, production, photo or video editing, post-production and retouching
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and freelancers to establish an active roster of talent
  • Work with Director of Operations on all related vendor contracts, equipment rental agreements, and invoices
  • Work closely with Sr. Editor of Prattfolio on photo research, talent scouting, art-direction and photo editing for the Institute's magazine
  • Oversee the DAM, our digital asset management system including evaluation of current product (Picturepark), and maintain updated and seasonal “best of Pratt” images on DAM


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience: Minimum of five years in a related field or environment with management experience preferred.

Required Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of video and photo production including storyboarding, filming, editing and post-production.
  • Experience producing video and photo assets within communications and marketing strategies.
  • Detail-oriented with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well in a team situation and with clients, working under pressure, and juggling multiple stages of development are required.
  • Familiarity with the Higher Education sector is a plus.
