Print & Digital Production Manager (71101)


Location: Brooklyn, NY

Description:
Reporting to the Director of Creative Services, the Print and Digital Production Manager is responsible for coordinating the production and delivery of high-caliber, multi-channel, communications materials developed in conjunction with the Creative Services and Project Management teams in Pratt's Communications and Marketing Division (PCOMM). The ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating with teams at various levels, demonstrates extensive knowledge of print and digital production, and is a creative problem-solver who can navigate project obstacles and identify solutions that realizes projects on time and within budget.

This position is considered to be hybrid, with the opportunity for both remote work and in-person work on our Brooklyn campus.

Typical work day would include the following responsibilities:
  • Work with the Client Services team to fully understand project objectives, specifications, budgetary considerations, production limitations and opportunities
  • Work closely with Creative Services team to research production methods and materials to fulfill and support design concepts
  • Develop production plans and schedules with critical milestones and ensure multiple and simultaneous projects stay on schedule, using our project management tool, Asana
  • Handle all aspects of the production process for print and digital projects including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, pricing, preflight, prepress, proofing, production, installation, and maintenance
  • Assist with the rollout, distribution, and management of brand assets including digital and email marketing content
  • Maintain an active roster of vendor accounts including but not limited to brokers, printers, paper suppliers, mail houses, signage vendors and fabricators to be reviewed and updated annually
  • Oversee fabrication, installation, and maintenance of all temporary and permanent signage pertaining to our campuses


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience: Minimum of five years of professional experience in print and digital production management.

Required Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a diplomatic attitude. Must possess strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities in order to produce under tight deadlines with attention to detail. Experience in higher education or non-profit institutions preferred. Proficiency in all relevant office programs required, Microsoft Office, Google Suite. Strong knowledge of creative production and project management tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Asana preferred.
