* Associate degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate.

* One (1) year experience in broadcast journalism, communications or advertising.

* Minimum qualifications can be substituted with an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Preferred qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals who possess :

* Post-secondary credential in visual arts with coursework in video production and/or photography. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

* Up-to-date portfolio of video / photography work.

* Proven ability to listen to others and work well as part of a team.

* Expertise in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom

* Project management experience (prioritization, status reports, managing multiple projects with deadlines)

* Experience maintaining equipment.

* Experience with lighting and sound engineering.

* Experience contributing to social media channels including YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Snap Chat

* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Design programs including Illustrator and InDesign.

* Higher education experience Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs. Incumbents supervise and coordinate multimedia support services and video production activities.

• Prioritizes, assigns, and coordinates all multimedia services to include recording video lectures, setting up video links, and researching new equipment and technology; ensures the effective functioning of equipment and multimedia software.
• Oversees equipment maintenance and repairs; work may involve troubleshooting issues, and interpreting a variety of technical information.
• Coordinates with faculty, staff, students, administrators, the IT department, vendors, community members, and other internal/external personnel, departments, and/or agencies, to communicate information, provide technical support, purchase equipment and software, and facilitate departmental operations.
• Manages inventory, materials, and other supplies.
• Prepares, maintains, and/or updates reports, records, and other documentation; work may involve researching and compiling data.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
• This job description is intended to represent only the key areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the business needs of the department.

Specific Position Duties:

1. Shoot, edit, produce and distribute videos for District office marketing and communication departments and serve as a backup provider of these services for campuses.
2. Independently manage shooting and editing schedules in order to meet deadlines.
3. Provide creative support on large projects to other college video staff, graphic design staff, web applications staff and, when applicable, external vendors.
4. Guide faculty, staff and administrators through the various phases of video production including script writing, set design, continuity of theme, visual/color values, camera angles and video/audio transitions.
5. Provide still photography direction for District office marketing and communication departments and serve as a backup provider of these services for campuses.
6. Manage MCC’s YouTube account as well as any other video or photographic-oriented social media accounts as needed.
7. Manage the use of employee talent and agency models to ensure they arrive on schedule and meet MCC’s standards. Knowledge
