Schedule Information: This position typically consists of day shifts; evening and occasional weekend shifts required. The position is a semester appointment and can be renewed each semester with satisfactory performance reviews and hours availability. Summer hours may be available based on staffing needs.

Hours per Week: Approximately 15-17 hours per week, 34 weeks per year. 1-2 evenings required per week. Some remote hours are possible.

Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.

Duties of Position: Staff the Reference Desk at Harper main campus and the Learning and Career Center (LCC).

Monitor chat reference.

Teach library instruction classes.

Conduct individual research appointments.

Create LibGuides.

Assist with collection development.

Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements: Master of Library Science Degree is required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience Requirements: Experience with reference and library instruction strongly preferred.
