Applications are invited for appointment as Part-time Lecturer (holding the title of Differentiated Instruction Trainer) (several posts) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 515327), to commence from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree, with a minimum of 8-10 years’ relevant teaching experience. Doctoral degree holders with a minimum of 3-5 years’ teaching experience in education related discipline or at least 3-5 years of solid front-line working experience as panel chairperson or school principal in local primary or secondary schools are also welcome to apply. Preference will be given to applicants who have experiences in (1) teacher development and training in local primary/secondary section; (2) curriculum development; or (3) programme development to cater for learners’ diversity; or who possess a relevant professional teaching certificate (e.g. PGDE or other qualification of equivalence). They should have strong understanding and relevant training of differentiated instruction (DI) and preferably in Diversity Management.

The appointees will work for the Second Phase of the Jockey Club “Diversity at Schools” project with a focus on DI under the Faculty of Education. They will be responsible for planning, conducting and facilitating school-based workshops for local primary and secondary teachers, with the aim to enhance teachers’ professional development on DI and the use of the DI lesson planning platform and data management platform (DMP). They are also expected to collaborate closely with the project team and project schools to build a community of practices for DI. They should be able to deliver workshops during school days, possibly on Saturdays and school holidays.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
