Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business Advancement team encourages applications for a Program Manager for Donor Relations ! As our Program Manager for Donor Relations, you will join a professional and hard-working advancement team that generates philanthropic support and overall external engagement for the University and the Leeds School of Business.

Every day you will play a meaningful role in establishing a deep-rooted culture of philanthropy across the University and among the Leeds alumni and partner community, lead the planning and carrying out of personalized and broad stewardship efforts for donors, and tackle a broad array of critical projects and tasks.

Working under minimal direction, responsibilities include planning, logistics and coordination for one or more of the following: donor relations, stewardship strategies, events, marketing, annual giving. Position will assist with the development and management of program budgets. Depending on position focus, additional responsibilities may include the effective management of the college’s gift acknowledgment process, stewardship partnership programs, marketing/branding strategy, and coordination of communications efforts.

Who We Are

Our team thrives on the energy, passion and school pride that comes from daily interactions with students at Leeds and across campus. On a typical day, you can expect to participate in meetings with colleagues from a variety of teams – perhaps Undergraduate or Graduate Programs, the Office of Diversity Affairs, and members of the faculty. You’ll attend events ranging from board meetings to football pregame celebrations, representing Leeds and establishing relationships. In the office, you’ll find supportive partners for learning about student programs, building personalized stewardship, leading donor relations programming, and learning more about standard methodologies around advancement.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Donor Relations
  • Coordinate and develop donor relations programs, communications, projects and event planning.
  • Lead all aspects of stewardship efforts for the Leeds School's most generous donors and potential donors.
  • Organize meet-and-greets between scholarship recipients and scholarship donors.
  • Manage important projects such as generating stewardship reports communicating the impact of a faculty chair in partnership with the marketing team and managing a holiday mailing to more than 1,000 donors.
Stewardship
  • Collaborate with development officers to help plan and complete individualized stewardship plans for the top thirty donors to Leeds.
  • Lead the stewardship efforts for all donors to the Leeds School through tiered plans and detailed project management.

What We Can Offer
  • The salary range is $53,000- up to $60,000 annually.
  • Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

What We Require
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in project management
  • At least 1 year of related experience in project management, sales, customer service, fundraising, donor relations and/or marketing.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities and timelines simultaneously Software used: Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; donor database management software; ThankView.
What We Would Like You To Have
  • 3+ years related experience in a higher education, project management, fundraising setting.
