The Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Florida International University invites applications for the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Program. We our seeking a proven leader to serve as the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing Department. The successful candidate must have an academic Doctorate in Nursing or a related field from an accredited institution.  The successful candidate will be Tenure-earning or is a Tenured: Associate/Full Professor in an accredited nursing program. The successful candidate will have demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.  Administrative experience is preferred. NWCNHS nursing programs are accredited by CCNE. Faculty may teach across programs, in the classroom or through FIU Online. Qualified candidates must hold a Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Florida or have Florida license at time of appointment. The preferred candidate is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Florida or is eligible for APRN Florida licensure. Reporting to the Dean, the chair will provide strategic and administrative leadership, budget management to this program in its teaching, research and clinical missions and vison. The Chair is responsible for maintenance of accreditation, and commitment to strategies for professional development. Additionally, the Chair represents the undergraduate nursing program at the College, University, and community levels and serves the profession by participation in committees and scholarly activities. Competitive salary and academic rank offered commensurate with qualifications and experience.
