    Job Summary   GroupBox1        

This position is responsible for directing the university’s institutional research functions and reports directly to the Provost.

 

    Responsibilities   GroupBox1      
    Prepares and provides accurate and reliable data, statistics, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Provides support and analysis for a variety of institutional reporting functions. Communicates and presents data and study results to appropriate stakeholders.
 

    Collects, organizes, edits, maintains, and validates data needed for accurate and consistent data reporting, institutional study, and data-drive decision making. Reviews data, information, research, and policy studies to anticipate research questions and data needs. Communicates and presents issues related to data use and integrity to appropriate stakeholders.

 

    Performs basic and advanced analyses. Performs basic analysis such as summing, totaling, and descriptive statistics. Performs advanced analysis such as inferential statistics, forecasting, and predictive modeling.
 

    Completes professional development activities. Completes training and workshops, reads professional literature, and attends conferences and meetings to develop knowledge and skills necessary to improve data, information, and analysis for decision-making support.
 

    Performs a variety of related duties.

    Master’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required. More than three years of related experienced required.
    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities   GroupBox1      
    Knowledge of institutional research principles and practices. Knowledge of research and statistical methods. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Knowledge of University System of Georgia policies and procedures. Skill in decision making and problem solving. Skill in the completion of a variety of reports. Skill in oral and written communication.
