Position Summary

The Department of Biomedical Informatics, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo, is seeking a tenure track Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an extramurally funded research program.

Their teaching and mentorship responsibilities will include the following programs:
  • Undergraduate Program in Biomedical Informatics
  • Medical School Teaching
  • Master’s in Biomedical Informatics
  • PhD in Biomedical Informatics
  • Clinical Informatics Fellowship

Minimum Qualifications

All successful candidates must have a PhD, along with advanced training in Biomedical Informatics or related field. Experience in machine learning and drug discovery methods (including docking algorithms and 3D structure prediction) is required. They must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, along with experience in teaching, mentoring and research in a higher education setting.
Preferred Qualifications

A concentration in Bioinformatics is of great value, along with a proven track record of publications and success in obtaining extramural funding.
