This position serves as the primary administrative assistant and
office manager for the National Environmental Modeling and Analysis
Center (NEMAC), NC Center for Health and Wellness (NCCHW) and the
STEAM Studio. The employee in this position provides administrative
assistance to the Directors of these three departments in a shared
administrative role. Duties include:
This position requires a flexible person who can meet the needs of three different departments with various missions and support needs.
- serving as the first point of contact for program inquiries and questions
- file, electronic files, and record maintenance
- ordering of supplies, deposits, budget management, purchase orders, and check requests
- travel requests and reimbursements
- calendar management
- schedule meetings, set up virtual and physical meeting rooms and reserve meeting spaces as needed
- notetaking for internal team meetings, as needed
- copying, scanning, collecting signatures on pdf forms
- assisting with logistics and information related to center searches and/or the hiring of student and temporary employees.
- serves as a public contact for providing information on campus resources and policies
- promotion of departmental information and events, this may include supporting event planning, social media campaigns, marketing, or news releases.
- website maintenance, which may be heavier in this position due to the various programmatic support needs.
