Essential Functions (Job Duties)
Employ a multi-disciplinary approach to investigate redox signaling mechanisms underlying acquired hearing loss in animal and cell culture models. The candidate will use microscopy (light and confocal microscopy), electrophysiology (ABR and DPOAE), and molecular biology (PCR, western blotting, genetic manipulations) techniques.

Design and perform scientific experiments. Maintain laboratory logs/records following standard protocols. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines. Assist other lab members with experiments as required.

Collect and analyze data, summarize/organize the results, and write manuscripts/scholarly articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Prepare and present research findings at scientific conferences and lab meetings.

Maintain the laboratory work areas and equipment as needed. Order and organize required research supplies and records.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Unique Duties

Qualifications
Ph.D. in molecular biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, or a related field is required.

Experience in handling small lab animals (rodents).

Knowledge of molecular biology techniques.

Strong scholarly writing (e.g., research articles), verbal communication, and analytical skills.
