The Carthage College Nursing Department is searching for an adjunct clinical faculty specializing in pediatrics on Thursdays and Fridays for Academic Year 2022-23 beginning August 20, 2022 and continuing until May 22, 2023. You must have at least a Master’s degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of clinical experience in pediatrics. You must have a criminal history and background check clearance. One must have an unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Wisconsin.

SUMMARY :

Nursing Instructors are responsible for assisting undergraduate Nursing students to successfully meet their course objectives by planning, coordinating, and implementing student-centered, clinical instruction in the psychomotor skills lab, simulation laboratories, and affiliated clinical organizations. They then provide formative and summative evaluations of the students’ performance. The Clinical Instructor is an extension of the Course Director and supports student learning through Socratic questioning to connect theory to practice and promote the development of clinical judgment. This position reports to the Director of Nursing. One must provide evidence of immunizations and CPR certification congruent with Department of Nursing policies. In addition, the successful candidate must possess thorough knowledge of health assessment, medications, treatments, diagnoses, and be able to relate these aspects of patient care to problem solving/critical thinking skill development in students. Finally, the successful candidate Ability to operationalize the philosophy, mission, and values of the Department of Nursing.

Carthage College is currently looking for individuals who can teach clinical for children’s health, and mental health/psychiatric nursing. Clinical sections are on Thursday and Friday days.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  1. Master’s Degree in Nursing.
  2. At least two years of clinical nursing experience in an applicable field of Nursing.
  3. Provide evidence of immunizations and CPR certification congruent with Department of Nursing policies.
