Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Student-Athlete Academic Advisor (Student Services Program Coordinator II) in Student Athlete Student Services.

Duties include, but are not limited to: advise/counsel student-athletes; develop individualized academic support plans for student-athletes; provide one-on-one academic assistance as needed; monitor the academic progress of student-athletes; assist Associate Athletic Director, compliance officer and certifying officer in the NCAA certification and tracking process; meet with recruits during on-campus visits to review available services for students; assist with recruiting weekends and new student-athlete orientation activities; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: A master's degree is required and experience in student services programs is required.  Two (2) years of direct experience providing academic services to student-athletes is preferred. Successful candidate should also possess consultation skills; competency with culturally diverse populations; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to exercise good judgment; commitment to adhere to NCAA, Sun Belt Conference, and Coastal Carolina University regulations, as well as the mission, vision, and philosophy of the Student-Athlete Academic Support services unit and knowledge of the NCAA initial and continuing eligibility rules.
