Job Description Summary
Wentworth Institute for Technology seeks a Head Coach, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country / Mixed Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field .
This is a full-time, 12-month position . The position requires flexible hours, nights, and weekends. Hybrid work schedule available with most of the work completed on campus. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license
The ideal candidate is responsible for the organization, management, and leadership of all aspects of the NCAA Division III men’s and women’s cross country/mixed track & field programs. Responsibilities include:
- developing and implementing strategies that identify, recruit and matriculate qualified student-athletes
- managing the academic, athletic, and personal development of student athletes
- building a positive, inclusive, and equitable environment that enriches the student athlete experience
- organizing and facilitating practice and meet preparation to enhance the team’s performance.
- hiring, supervising and developing the assistant coaching staff
- coordinating team travel, managing meet scheduling, and working in concert with Alumni Affairs on alumni relations.
- will serve as game administrator for select home events.
- are responsible for knowing and complying with all University, NCAA, conference and department policy and protocols.
- must possess strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with athletic department coaches and staff, as well as internal and external constituents.
