Be yourself and start your career here. Help us build a better Brockport! Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for an Academic Success Coordinator. This position is part of the state of the art Academic Success Center, which opened in 2017 in the center of the College at Brockport campus. Working with a team of dedicated, student-centered professionals in the center, the Academic Success Coordinator will develop and implement comprehensive programs and interventions to support the transition and ongoing academic and personal success of historically underrepresented groups. Specific priority populations for this position will be historically underrepresented students, emerging scholars and military/veteran students. Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from a college or university accredited by the
U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized
college or university.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative
relationships with faculty, staff, students and alumni.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication
skills.
- Experience planning and implementing retention and/or
orientation programmatic experiences.
- Experience working with students at the post secondary level in
an advisement, counseling, or student success role.
- Experience with MS Office and student management/course
management systems.
Preferred Qualifications: - Supervisory experience.
- Experience planning culturally relevant programs for diverse
populations.
- Experience leading educational and developmental training
sessions.
- Experience establishing and maintaining mentor programs.
- Experience with appropriate computer programs and technology
including: Blackboard, Degree Works, Banner, Hobson's Starfish and
familiarity with social media.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 am -5 pm Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary is $50,148. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport.
