Description:
The Office of the President is searching for a team member who has experience providing high-level administrative support and an interest in joining a dynamic team as the Assistant to the President. The ideal candidate is one who has extraordinary communications skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external constituencies. We seek an individual who can proactively identify and address the daily needs of the office. If you have five years of administrative experience, excellent organizational and research skills, and can demonstrate your comfort interacting with students, faculty, staff, executive leadership, members of the Board of Trustees and high-level donors and guests, we encourage you to apply.

On a typical day you will:
  • Work closely with the Chief of Staff to organize and coordinate meetings and events for the President's Senior Staff and the Board of Trustees, preparing and distributing materials in a timely manner, and providing support and information as requested
  • Respond to complex phone, email, and in-person inquiries, requests, complaints, and challenges with diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Manage office budget and assist with management of office personnel


This position is full-time and in-person at the Brooklyn campus in Clinton Hill.


Qualifications:
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree.

Experience: Five (5) years of administrative experience to a senior level administrator/officer.

Skills: Excellent writing, verbal and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, supervisory, and research skills. A keen ability to prioritize and follow through with tasks and assignments. Proficiency with a variety of software for generating documents, storing, uploading and organizing digital files.
