The Tillman School of Business is seeking applicants for a full-time (9.5 month) cybersecurity and computer information systems faculty position beginning Fall 2022 (August 1, 2022 start date).  The desired candidate should have qualifications enabling them to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity, management information systems, and computer information systems.  Candidates should also possess work experience in the cybersecurity profession.  Experience working with information systems, electrical engineering, and/or software engineering is beneficial. In addition to highly effective teaching and advising, faculty members must become engaged with students through the cybersecurity club or other student-related activities/organizations.

 The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses delivered in both seated and online formats.  Faculty are expected to record video lectures for online courses.  Candidates should demonstrate success as an instructor in the application of innovative and hands-on teaching techniques.  Applicants should also possess experience and/or certificates that allow the application of principles and theories related to the field of study.  Candidates will be encouraged to network with local businesses and organizations to establish internship opportunities for students. 

 The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of the Tillman School of Business and the University of Mount Olive Covenant.  The candidate will participate in Tillman School of Business activities including collegiate club activities, service to the university, and community involvement. 

 Minimum Qualifications:

 Candidates must have a master’s degree in cyber security, computer science, information systems, or a related field.  The application must possess 18 graduate hours in computer science, management information systems, computer information systems, or information systems. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 A Ph.D. or equivalent in the teaching discipline to include computer science, computer information systems, information systems, or management information systems.
