Basic Qualifications
At least two years of college-level coursework in biology or related field.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in biology or related field preferred. Background in cellular and molecular biology strongly recommended. Previous experience with cell cultures and sterile laboratory technique is preferred. Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail is an essential component of this position. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Proficiency with computer applications (Powerpoint and Excel) is strongly preferred.
Additional Information
This is a one-year term position with the possibility of extension.

Position Description
More specifically, the RAI performs the following responsibilities:
- Process blood samples
- Implements new reprogramming technologies
- Derives, maintains and distributes induced pluripotent stem cell lines.
- Characterizes new lines by standard molecular biological techniques (including DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, RT-PCR) and by immunophenotypic analysis.
- Performs quality control of cell lines.
- May instruct others in basic laboratory techniques.
- Performs related laboratory maintenance such as maintaining and cleaning equipment, ordering and keeping an inventory of laboratory supplies.
