Department Summary
The School of Architecture & Environment has an operating budget of $9 Million annually and is the academic home for 46 tenure-track faculty members, as well as many non-tenure-track faculty and adjunct-level instructors.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for creating, coordinating, evaluating, managing, and implementing recruitment and enrollment endeavors for the School of Architecture & Environment's (SAE) professional Master's programs. Operating in a collaborative environment, this position works closely with the SAE and College of Design (DSGN) academic and administrative leadership to ensure recruitment activities provide robust support for the school while accurately and effectively attracting qualified and interested applicants to the School's professional graduate programs.
General functions include:
- Develops and executes a recruitment and marketing strategy for
the School's Master's programs, designed to attract top students
and ensure each incoming class meets the size, quality, diversity,
and financial goals set forth by SAE and DSGN
leadership.
- Manages short- and long-term plans for Master's program
recruitment and enrollment targets in Architecture, Interior
Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Historic
Preservation.
- Develops, cultivates, and generates student leads for
professional graduate programs through a variety of outreach
initiatives, including face-to-face, phone, online, and on- and
off-campus events and meetings.
- Creates, coordinates, and maintains communications with new
student leads, prospective students, and admitted students. Provide
counseling on program attributes to potential
applicants.
- Provides ongoing interface with potential students through the
selection and admission process of the programs.
- Works closely with other offices in SAE and DSGN to ensure a
high-quality experience for incoming and current
students.
- Works toward developing a well-coordinated team of staff and
faculty that attends to the success of our graduate students from
first contact by inquirer to enrollment to graduation and alumni
status.
This position may require frequent domestic travel to meetings and recruiting events, including frequent and regularly-scheduled trips between the Portland and Eugene campuses and attendance at frequently held evening and weekend events.
This is a full-time, 12-month professional position directly reporting to the Head of the School of Architecture & Environment. This position is located in Eugene.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and
experience.

- Ability to manage several requirements or projects
simultaneously.
- Excellent, effective communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word,
Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve unit
or university objectives and to develop positive, supportive, and
respectful relationships with internal and external customers and
colleagues.
- Ability to take initiative and motivate self and others to
accomplish objectives and achieve goals.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree.
- Relevant experience in higher education.
