Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of Organizational Excellence and Development ( OED ), the Instructional Media Designer supports learning and development by creating quality instructional resources and collateral. The position is responsible for designing, planning, developing, and managing production of audiovisual, print projects, and materials.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Performance Requirements*
- Designs, maintains, edits, and deploys graphic art, audio content, and short videos supporting instruction and development
- Produces and provides production support for virtual engagements (i.e., trainings, development, workshops, events)
- Develops learning and job aids
- Creates and manages multimedia products such as illustrations and animations in video, slide, audio, and computer formats
- Consults, supports, and develops interactive teaching and learning solutions
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College ( TCC ) Institute
- Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College
- Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College
Works under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Organizational Excellence and Development
*Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
- Experience in graphic design, digital technology, and multimedia production
- Experience using instructional media design software
- Experience using Articulate
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Captivate
- Experience facilitating Microsoft Teams Meetings and Live Events
- Experience creating, producing, and editing recorded media
- Experience designing eLearning / web-based training
- Knowledge of instructional design, including ADDIE development model, Bloom’s taxonomy, and principles of andragogy
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships with diverse populations, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
- Skilled using enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
