Oversees the development and coordination of office processes for a division or college, ensuring optimal effectiveness of administrative support.
  1. Manages administrative support personnel in functional units or departments, disseminating information, assigning functional responsibilities and supervising staff in accordance with university policies and procedures.
  2. Establishes procedures, practices and work methods for clerical support activities with the objective of increasing effectiveness and efficiency throughout the division or college.
  3. Sets criteria for acceptable work performance and evaluates staff performance.
  4. Coaches and counsels staff, and schedules training as needed to improve skills and overcome deficiencies.
  5. Develops unit-specific databases, quality control reports, and other work management tools.
  6. Assists managers and professional staff in organizing work processes. Resolves operational problems, personnel conflicts, and other inefficiencies.
  7. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications :

Bachelors and 3 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
