¾ time Faculty, Department of Experiential Engineering
The Department of Experiential Engineering Education (ExEEd) in the
Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University invites
applications for ¾ time visiting faculty position(s) with the
possibility of renewal.
Successful candidates will have a strong interest in teaching
courses in the first and second year of the engineering curriculum
and will join a team that is responsible for the First-year and
Sophomore Engineering Clinic courses. The Engineering Clinic
Sequence is the hallmark of Rowan’s innovative undergraduate
engineering program and features multidisciplinary, hands-on,
project-oriented courses. The successful candidate will have the
opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative projects
and pedagogies in an environment where excellence in teaching is
needed and valued. The successful candidate must be committed to
working with students from diverse backgrounds including women,
students of color, LGBTQ+ students, first generation college
students, students with disabilities, socioeconomically
disadvantaged students, and veterans.
We seek outstanding candidates who have a minimum of a Master’s
degree in an engineering discipline. Applicants must also hold a
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program
(or equivalent). Industrial or other professional experience, while
not required, would be very valuable. In addition, the successful
candidate is expected to demonstrate excellent written and oral
communication skills and the ability to teach in a hands-on,
project and problem-based learning environment.

ExEEd was launched to catalyze the translation of educational
innovations into the classroom, cultivate a collaborative
environment for engineering education research, and to lead the
College’s undergraduate engineering educational mission for first
and second year students in all engineering disciplines.
