JOB DESCRIPTION

The English Department invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate English courses in composition and literature.

The individual in this position will design courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations; plan lessons; grade assignments; and respond to student needs in person or electronically.

A minimum of a master’s degree in English or closely related field is required. At least one year of college-level teaching experience is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations
  • Plan and execute lessons
  • Grade assignments, essays, etc. in a timely fashion
  • Respond to student needs in person or electronically
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters in English or a related discipline with a minimum 18 graduate credit hours in English is required
  • At least one year college-level teaching experience preferred
