Gettysburg College, in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced professional for a full-time position as the Director of Academic Administration in the Provost’s Office. Gettysburg is an undergraduate liberal arts and sciences college, which enrolls approximately 2,600 primarily residential students. Reporting directly to the Provost, this position performs a wide variety of administrative functions, including oversight of the daily operations of the Provost’s Office, management of the Provost’s Office budgets, endowed account budgets, and capital budgets related to the academic division, and support for the management of academic division salary budgets for faculty, administrators and support staff. In collaboration with the divisional deans and campus partners, the position also provides support for the on-boarding of newly hired faculty members.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred.  A minimum of five years administrative experience in a diverse working environment with budgetary and human resources responsibilities is also required.  A minimum of five years’ experience working in a complex environment with supervisory, budget and human resource responsibilities is highly desired.  Additionally, experience streamlining processes and using data including data analytics modeling to support decisions is desired.

 

Expertise with the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook, Enterprise Human Resource Management and Financials (preferably PeopleSoft), Document Management (preferably Onbase and Docusign) is highly desired.  Additionally, experience with web tools and software for the creation of Web-based materials is desired.  The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate orally and in writing with a variety of individuals, develop positive working relationships, successfully organize and prioritize work tasks, cooperatively work as a team member, collaborate with individuals on projects, and display creativity and imagination.  The successful candidate should also have the demonstrated ability to build consensus around business process change and to implement change to make administrative processes more efficient, transparent, and equitable.  Must have a strong sense of professional judgment and attention to detail.

This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience and is complemented by an available benefits package including medical and dental insurance, paid time off, flexible spending accounts, 403(b) retirement contribution, dependent tuition benefits, and parent leave.
