Job Description:

The Coordinator, Student Engagement and Leadership is a 12-month fulltime professional/managerial position. The coordinator will be responsible for delivering high quality co-curricular programs and services for students of Pensacola State College; monitoring, advising, and assisting student organizations with membership, activity planning, and execution of activities; developing and coordinating a comprehensive program of educational, social, and cultural events for the student body; and working with faculty to promote and coordinate service learning. Additionally, the Coordinator, Student Engagement and Leadership will coordinate efforts for volunteering and service learning; be responsible for tracking student engagement and volunteer hours and maintaining a system that allows faculty monitoring and input of tracking data; compile data and maintain a record of student engagement hours and activities for statistical analysis and reporting; actively co-advise the Student Government Association and attend local, district, and state meetings as needed; provide leadership retreats and on-going workshops for student organizations and advisors; plan large annual program such as fall and spring "Welcome Back" events, and PirateFest-weekend activity for students and family members; and manage the campus activities calendar, student involvement email, and social media channels. This position reports to the Associate Vice President, Student Affairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from a regionally an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Up to three years of experience in Student Activities, student engagement, service learning, and/or programming.

Salary Range:

$35,000 - $42,500 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
