Job Description:

The Department of Business at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio seeks a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor in Economics to start in the Fall 2022 semester for the 2022-2023 academic year. The candidate will teach a variety of courses in the day program, weekend program, and on-line. In addition, teaching on weekends (as well as some advising of undergraduate students) may be required and is a condition of employment. Ideal candidates should be innovative, have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate capacity to enhance our programs and have an excellent record of teaching and scholarship. Experience with evidence-based and/or active-learning pedagogies preferred.

The course(s) to be taught: Undergraduate and/or Graduate courses in Economics, Econometrics, and Health Economics. Ability to teach a course in Data Analytics is preferred.

Requirements:

PhD in Economics or related field preferred, ABD or Master's degree with working experience in economics considered. Those with a doctoral degree will be assigned the rank of Assistant Professor. Those not holding a doctoral degree will be assigned the rank of Instructor.
