Job Description
Montgomery College, office of Records and Registration, has a need for a full time, Transfer Credit Evaluator position #P001248. Work hours are typically between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. This is a Bargaining non-exempt, Grade 21 position. Position is located in Germantown.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Reviews and evaluates transcripts and transfer credit-related documents from prior educational institutions.
- Determines transfer coursework applicability and/or equivalency.
- Authenticates documents and ensures accuracy of transfer student academic records.
- Reviews - Permission to Enroll forms.
- Researches and responds to inquiries related to students’ transfer evaluation.
- Coordinates with graduation coordinator and MC counselor to ensure that courses are transferred and course substitutions are submitted.
- Secures, reviews, and modifies evaluation records.
- Updates the transfer course database.
- Serves as a resource for students, College personnel, and the general public.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree.
- Three years of transcript evaluation experience including experience with a student information database or an equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Experience with an integrated student database.
- Knowledge of COMAR, MHEC, and state regulations concerning transfer policies among state schools.
- Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship
