The Multimedia Graphic Designer builds engaging content for print and digital use to focus on both the traditional static visual design content (collateral) as well as interactive motion and sound visual effects for apps, e-devices, videos, mobile, PPT and website graphics. This position will support the program teams, under the supervision of the senior graphic designer, to promote both IVMF and OVMA communications efforts using a proven understanding of visual design, graphic design and UI principles to achieve business goals for both areas. This individual must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, resource-constrained environment. Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, UI Design or related field.
  • Five (5) plus years of industry experience.
  • Understanding and ability to create accessible digital and web assets.
  • Experience managing files for print production.
  • Team player with strong ability to multitask and work collaboratively with a variety of internal clients.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign as well as Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects and FinalCut.
  • Possess solid understanding of design principles, printing procedures and production management, and videography.
  • Ability to research new trends and software to stay abreast of changing design and audience business needs.
  • Experience with HTML / CSS a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
Graphic Design:
  • Design concepts geared toward print taking into consideration accessibility and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Assist with creative development of a project scope, present creative concepts to clients, and manage the project from the conceptual stage through production while adhering to established brand standards.
  • Concept and design materials for print collateral including brochures, ads, logos and event materials.
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule, utilizing production management.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, work on tight deadlines.
  • Collaboration with the University’s Division of Marketing and Communications when appropriate.
  • Follow established University brand standards, governance, and approaches.
Multimedia Design:
  • Design concepts with visual effects including audio, motion, animation taking into consideration accessibility and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Create and design various multimedia pieces for use on website, presentations, interactive displays, mobile devices, social media graphics, videos.
  • Creating digital images and animation for digital images as well as audio file editing and encoding.
  • Integrate art and technology for enhanced user experience.
