The Associate Registrar is responsible for managing daily operation of the Registrar's Office. This position serves as a liaison to other university departments, particularly around student facing issues including registration, records, transcripts and degree conferrals. The Associate Registrar attends meetings, participates in committees as needed, and leads ad hoc office or campus projects and below:

 

  1. Supports the Student Records module by analyzing problems, suggesting appropriate solutions, particularly in areas related to student registration, grading, and degree conferral
  2. Develops new processes and plans to increase service to constituents by use of technology and best business practices via web page, office communications, staffing, and setting tone as a service organi
  3. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  4. Collaborates with division stakeholders on the development and implementation of strategic solutions to continuously improve and streamline student service experience.
  5. Evaluate current practices and develop goals and strategies to improve the services offered within the Registrar's Office. Aid and advise the University Registrar on key initiatives.
  6. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards.
  7. Ensures security of academic records by developing the access strategy, and approving access to student academic records for the entire campus.
  8. Provides student information to the university community and external vendors by producing official academic transcripts; enrollment verifications; ad hoc reporting
  9. Supports the university academic community by being a resource for resolving issues on the course catalog, grading, transfer articulation, reporting, registration and records.
  10. Directs the yearly Academic Catalog update process by managing the project resources with special attention to business processes, user friendly access, as well as monitoring required milestones for timely completion and publication.
  11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
