Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) at Indianapolis was established in 1914 and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The IUSON at Indianapolis is part of a thriving health sciences campus and serves as part of the core campus including Indiana University Bloomington and Indiana University Fort Wayne. The School of Nursing at Indianapolis enrolls 750+ students, employs approximately 85 faculty and 50 staff. Our degree programs include the undergraduate BSN, nine MSN tracks, a DNP and PhD in Nursing Science and a Post-Master’s certificate. Our RN to BSN program and Teaching in Nursing Graduate Certificate are on-line programs. The IUSON houses four research centers and institutes with specific focuses on improving the quality of health and life, mentoring faculty to reach career goals in the healthcare profession, and to meet the lifelong challenges as a nurse. Our faculty researchers are nationally and internationally recognized and currently conduct funded research in education and clinical sciences. 

The IUSON plans include an increase in undergraduate BSN programs by 50% over the next three years, an increase in faculty hires to accommodate additional student enrollment and teaching capacity, intentional growth in our graduate programs, enhanced research and funding opportunities and successes for our faculty, and increased focus on diversity across our student, faculty, and staff. 

Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) seeks qualified candidates for clinical track faculty positions with nursing expertise in areas such as community/population health, maternal/infant health, mental/behavioral health, and other areas as needed. The person is responsible for teaching clinical and didactic courses in the undergraduate program and/or graduate courses as appropriate. Scholarship of teaching and service are expectations for appointment to the clinical track.

Qualified applicants must hold a doctoral degree in nursing (PhD or DNP). Recent clinical and/or teaching experience is preferred. The successful candidate must be licensed or eligible for Indiana RN licensure. Appointment to academic rank and salary are commensurate with prior education, experience, skills, and training.
