The Biology Department at High Point University invites applications for the position of Instructor. The position is a nine-month appointment that begin on August 15, 2022 and is renewable annually, based on performance and funding. Responsibilities will include teaching foundational courses within the biology and/or neuroscience majors and advising undergraduate biology and neuroscience majors. The Biology Department is located within our new state-of- the-art science complex, which houses the Wanek School of Natural Sciences. The Wanek School of Natural Sciences is the academic home to several undergraduate majors, including Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Neuroscience and Physics.


Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to undergraduate education, either through serving as a teaching assistant or instructor of record for undergraduate course(s) or through the mentorship of undergraduate research students. A Ph.D. in the biological sciences or a closely related field is required.
