Purpose of Position
The Assessment and Curriculum Analyst reports to the Assistant Vice Provost for Assessment in the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs and supports and advances all assessment of student learning efforts providing data, methodological support, survey support, and consultation to the organizational units under that office. The position also supports the curriculum processes in collaboration with the Curriculum Coordinator

Funding for this position is provided by Undergraduate Academic Affairs. The analyst will have direct access to data-sets housed within Institutional Research that are necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Primary Responsibilities
  • Data management and analysis to support the strategic mission of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, the Division of Academic Affairs.
  • Support the curriculum process in collaboration with the Curriculum Coordinator (Curriculog software, degree pipeline, program inventory…)
  • Produce standard informational reports each semester for Undergraduate Academic Affairs and respond to ad hoc information requests.
  • Conduct assessment analyses in support of academic program review and general education assessment. Use query/reporting software to select data from NKU databases and information systems. Support program assessment processes in Weave.
  • Writing or otherwise summarizing findings from data analysis. Make rational, information-based recommendations.
  • Presentation/dissemination of findings to University constituents; findings presented and disseminated outside of Academic Affairs include collaboration with Institutional Research staff and other members of the University Data Team.
  • Collaborate with or lead training and workshops to support academic program assessment as well as general education assessment
  • Survey development, preparation, and administration including course evaluation in collaboration with the Curriculum Coordinator.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience.

A background in educational research, quantitative psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, statistics, or other field focusing on assessment and evaluation is required.
