Overview: Quinnipiac University is currently accepting applications for Part-Time Faculty in Quinnipiac's new MA in Cinematic Production Management program for Fall 2022. The core of the CPM program focuses on the nexus between the creative and the business. This one-of-a-kind program covers the nuts and bolts of making movies and television, while also paying close attention to the creative, as well as emerging methodologies and technologies within the field. It aims to illuminate and demystify the entire production pipeline, giving insight and arming students with the practical, tangible knowledge to get projects made, and set realistic goals about how and where to gain employment. About the School/Program: We balance hands-on skills training with instruction in the liberal arts to prepare students for exciting and rewarding careers in advertising and integrated communications; communications/media studies; film, television and media arts; graphic and interactive design; journalism; and public relations. Our faculty includes award-winning professionals and internationally recognized scholars with extensive experience in their fields. We maintain a portfolio of more than 5,000 local, regional, national and international employers to connect with, and our student media organizations provide multiple opportunities for real-world learning experiences. Responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities: instruct graduate courses for fall, spring and summer terms, including: Principles of Line Producing, Production Management, Virtual and Remote Production, Creative Development, World Building, Showrunning, Entertainment Law for Producers, Screenwriting, UnReal Engine, World Building, Post Production Management, and Practical Production. Opportunities exist for new course development and additional graduate teaching assignments.

Education Requirements:
  • M.A., M.F.A or equivalent level professional experience are the degree requirement(s).
Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience at the university level is preferred
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
