Position Summary:
The Coordinator of Equity Initiatives (3-year term) assists the Director of Equity Initiatives in the planning, administration, and management of infrastructure and programs supporting historically excluded and underrepresented students.

Essential Functions:
  • Assisting Director of Equity Initiatives in planning, organizing, and executing meetings and events
  • Planning interview and selection processes for different cohorts as needed
  • Assisting Director with bi-annual reports
  • Updating and maintaining webpages and social media for the programs under Equity Initiatives to ensure information is accurate and current
  • Processing and reviewing vouchers, journal entries, purchase orders, receipts, and procurement card transactions where applicable
  • Overseeing budgets that fall in Equity Initiatives work
  • Assisting with administration of opportunity grants funding as needed
  • Hiring and supervising student office workers
  • Assisting and participating in trainings and meetings as needed






General Responsibilities:
  • Managing everyday operations by providing collaborative, planning, and administrative support
  • Providing a high level of support to internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with college administrative procedures
  • Initiating and maintaining ongoing programming and support for various students under the Director’s supervision






Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree is required, some work experience is helpful.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Willingness to collaborate and work independently; be a self-starter
  • Ability to remain flexible and open to the unpredictable
  • Values diverse and inclusive educational environments
  • Knowledge of computer programs and databases
  • Knowledge of basic web editing software (e.g Drupal) or willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of using social media in workplace settings or willingness to learn






Experience:
2-3 years work experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to carry out computer-based work for long periods of time
