The Department of Computer Information Technology and Graphics at Purdue University Northwest, Indiana, invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Computer Information Technology and Graphics at the rank of assistant professor with an anticipated start date of August 15, 2022. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity, information technology, and other related courses. Assistant professors are also expected to conduct scholarly research leading to refereed journal publications, write grant proposals, and participate in industrial engagement, and professional, university, and community service. Opportunities for interacting with regional businesses are excellent and encouraged. The department and university offer several internal and external opportunities for professional development, including external grant proposal preparation and attending professional conferences.

The Department of Computer Information Technology and Graphics is comprised of 12 full-time faculty, and enrolls about 210 students in the ABET-accredited B.S. in Computer Information Technology program. The outstanding curriculum in Computer Information Technology has resulted in the designation as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE CDE 4Y) jointly by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency. The department offers a minor in Applied Data Science to all students at Purdue University Northwest. Education

A doctoral degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science or a related field is required.  Doctoral degree must be awarded prior to August 15, 2022.
