About the Opportunity:
The University Honors Program is comprised of approximately 3,300 high achieving undergraduate students from each of Northeastern's colleges and academic programs. The Associate Director will serve on the Program's leadership team and will play an integral role in supporting the strategic goals of the Program.

Responsibilities:
The Associate Director will design and implement programs and initiatives that facilitate successful student transition into the intellectual, social, and cultural community of Northeastern University's Honors Program and promote their continued success beyond graduation. They will manage aspects of the Program including enrollment management, oversight of program initiatives, including Honors Living Learning Communities and programming for upperclass students, coordination of Honors advising services, supervision of staff, and university wide relations.

The Associate Director will work directly with the Director and the Senior Associate Director to provide daily management of program initiatives, including student recruitment, new student orientation, mentoring Honors Living Learning Communities, preparing upperclass Honors students for leadership roles, and other initiatives as needed. There are some weekend and evening hours required in this position to support programming.

The Associate Director will directly supervise and evaluate three staff members, who may include fulltime Honors Program Managers and Assistant Directors.

Qualifications:
MA/MS degree in higher education or a related field and 6 years of related experience, with at least 5 years of progressive responsibility for supervision and program management experience. Doctoral degree preferred. Experience with high achieving students preferred. Experience in two or more higher education units preferred. A proven record of successfully developing and implementing new programs.

The Associate Director should possess data management skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, Banner, and familiarity with the entire Microsoft Suite. Excellent communication, writing, editing, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and Northeastern University partner administrators. Ability to work with a diverse student population. Ability to manage and multi-task multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay within budget. Ability to successfully train and supervise staff.
