This is a full-time benefits-eligible position.   1. Manage UCM’s services for the support of externally funded projects/programs.
  2. Coordinate activities with academic and community leadership to conceive, promote, and support initiatives encouraging research, scholarly activity and creative endeavors.
  3. Serve as the primary liaison between principal investigators (PI) or program directors (PD), UCM offices and sponsors/funders at the federal, state and local levels.
  4. Ensure compliance with all university policies, federal/state laws and sponsor/funder rules/regulations in the operation of externally funded projects/programs.



Education & Formal Training Bachelor's degree (Specify field(s) of study below), Master's degree (Specify field(s) of study below) Other Education & Formal Training
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Communication, Math, English, Education or related field.

Master’s degree is preferred. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Other - Experience with Enterprise Resource System (Banner, People Soft) data base management and accounting software preferred. Experience
1. One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
2. Two (2) years of experience in budgeting, financial systems or management preferred.
3. Two (2) years of experience in program administration with progressively more responsibility in financial management preferred.
4. Audit controls experience preferred.
5. Two (2) years of experience in proposal writing and program development preferred.
6. One (1) year of experience in grants/contracts/external funding experience preferred

Experience tracking accounts payable and receivable preferred.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
Ability to interact professionally with funding authorities.
Ability to interact professionally with campus personnel who periodically encounter stresses and pressures of short deadlines.
Ability to interpret and apply regulations governing grant/contract administration and compliance
Ability to compile, verify data, and prepare reports.
Experience with state, federal, or foundation funding programs preferred.
Experience in project management preferred.
