The purpose of this position is to organize, coordinate and direct the University’s fundraising efforts; to assist the President, Vice Presidents, Deans and Directors with a variety of fund raising initiatives. Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and administer the planning, strategy, and execution of university-wide development efforts for NKU – principal, major, planned, corporate and foundation
  • Provide day-to-day management and leadership for development officers and staff, including recruitment, evaluation, and retention
  • Provide counsel, coaching, and planning for leadership, deans, department and program heads, faculty and staff regarding development strategy and activities
  • Work with prospect research and management to coordinate prospects for all University fund raising
  • Manage a prospect and donor portfolio
  • Active leadership in the division of university advancement and NKU President’s Council
Qualifications
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, at least eight years of progressive development experience, and at least two years of leadership and management experience.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in higher education, with comprehensive fundraising campaign experience, and a successful record of accomplishment of closing gifts of $100,000 and above.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse development team.
