The Creighton University School of Dentistry (SoD) is seeking an experienced leader in dental education to serve as the Associate Dean of Academics. The Associate Dean of Academics is the chief administrative officer for all SoD academic programs and serves as a liaison to Creighton University academic offices.

It is preferred that the candidate have significant experience in dental education and holds a leadership position with supervisory roles at an accredited institution. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a sustained history in teaching at the pre-doctoral level; excellent verbal and written communication skills; problem-solving and decision-making abilities and a collegial interpersonal aptitude.  The successful candidate should display vision and have a demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff and students.  Experience with curriculum development, academic planning, program assessment, knowledge of academic regulations and Commission on Dental Accreditation site visits and reporting is desired.  Additional expectations include a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusivity, passion about educational excellence and innovation.  The preferred candidate will have a DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree allowing for licensure to practice dentistry in the state of Nebraska, or a PhD common to dental education.  Current academic initiatives include curriculum innovation, redesign and organization, integration of basic and clinical sciences, inter-professional education, and introduction of new educational and clinical technologies.

This is a full-time tenure/tenure track position at the associate or full professor level.  Salary and rank will be commensurate with education and experience.
