  2. An enthusiasm to lead students in the expansion of animation beyond traditional media. This may include animation for games, VR, installation, AR or any interactive/immersive digital media that hold potential for animation as a form of creative communication. This would form a welcome asset for successful teaching in an increasingly interdisciplinary program that also aims to further integration of teaching with ongoing research.

  3. Sufficient experience and awareness of the full range of animation media formats, including drawn and digital 2D, 3D computer animation, stop motion, motion graphics, installation and animation for games.

  5. We are looking for a person with particularly strong development skills that enables them to assist students with content creation on the narrative and visual level. The understanding of overarching artistic concepts that will be negotiated through critical thinking is crucial. It must be combined with a high understanding ability to explain and teach them through word and image.

  6. Appropriate experience of teaching animation and developing animation curriculum, following established pedagogical approaches, at a tertiary level.

  7. A track-record and enthusiasm for research in the animation field, including any forms of publications such as conference publications, journal publications, screenings or exhibitions.
