Job Description:

The Stabler Department of Nursing at York College of Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced, innovative, and highly motivated candidate to be the founding Director of our Accelerated Baccalaureate Nursing program. This is a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment.

The successful candidate will have expertise in clinical practice and an established record of teaching in nursing education. Candidates will be expected to teach in both the classroom and clinical settings. The program director will be responsible for overseeing the admissions process, actively engaging with enrollment management, exploring funding opportunities, maintaining clinical partnerships, assessing the curricular plan, and evaluating program outcomes.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team in the Stabler Department of Nursing. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate potential for commitment to the college and community through prior service activities. Applicants should possess an earned doctorate or have plans to earn a doctorate within 5 years and demonstrate evidence of scholarly potential.

  • Graduate degree in nursing
  • Doctoral degree or have a plan for completing a doctoral degree within 5 years
  • Expertise and experience in an area of clinical practice
  • Unencumbered Pennsylvania nursing license (active or eligible)
  • At least 2 years of experience in nursing education
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to meet challenges of adult students with diverse background
  • Experience with on-line and blended instruction
  • Administrative experience in nursing education
