Salary & Benefits:                     Salary is $47,498.66 .Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.

Santa Fe College’s Academy of Science and Technology (SFCAST) will be a charter high school opening in Fall of 2023. In the Academy of Science and Technology, students will earn their A.S. degree and at least two industry certifications, while also completing their high school graduation requirements. This is done at no cost to the students or their families. SFCAST’s mission will be to ensure every student has access to a free, authentic, innovative, and individualized education that will help them recognize their potential and reach their goals while bridging high school, college, and career paths. Through its innovative vision, SFCAST will provide all students with the tools needed to be successful in the 21st century workforce through academic excellence and technical training. The charter high school will also help the students create a strong partnership with Santa Fe College and local industry leaders.   

This position is responsible for providing curricular leadership across subject areas and A.S. pathways, as well as developing and maintaining collaborations with industry partners and the college to identify educational pathways and work experiences that prepare students for college and careers.

 

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Work with the SFCAST Principal to provide staff development opportunities to faculty.
  • Provide direct support to faculty in the areas of curriculum and instruction, including ensuring curriculum is implemented with fidelity.
  • Create and maintain the scope and sequences for each A.S. Pathway.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to create required student opportunities for the A.S. pathways including workplace learning experiences, internships, and mentoring.
  • Assist students in selecting pathways.
  • Monitor student achievement and use data to make recommendations to faculty for student learning intervention and support.
  • Ensure that each student is on track for meeting program goals and develop learning plans for students who are struggling.
  • Assist with coordination and administration of school organization functions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned related to compliance with safety, licensing, funding and accrediting requirements.
  • Promote a culture of caring and success and assist with providing a safe learning and working environment.

  

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Bachelor’s Degree, 2-3 years of related work experience. Florida K-12 certification in Educational Leadership, a secondary subject area, or a related field.

 

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.

 

Preferred:  Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
