Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Director of International Student Recruitment works as part of the ISSC team. This position is responsible for the management and retention of international education recruitment agents including educational institutions and partners- cultivate relationships with partners (current and potential) and other educational professionals who work with international students with the goal of increasing international students' enrollment; development and implementation of a strategic recruitment plan for undergraduate and graduate international students in both domestic and international markets, including strategies for online and social media recruitment; management and execution of international marketing and communication; planning of international travel for recruitment and agent development; development and maintenance of an active database of recruitment history and yearly achievements, providing reports to inform on trends and progress, and supporting university strategic planning goals; oversight of international admission and credential evaluations-executing communication on admission and/or related matters with prospective, applicants, and admitted students, supervision of international admissions and social media and marketing positions; participation in recruitment related conferences; assisting the ISSC as needed; other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Three years of international recruitment and admissions experience in higher education
  • Knowledge of F-1 and J-1 visa immigration regulations and SEVIS regulations


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with recruitment agents
  • Experience working with international students
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusivity
  • Effective communication and intercultural skills
  • Experience with student information systems such as Banner and CRM systems
  • Familiarity with credential evaluations
  • Availability to work regular weekends and evenings as needed for recruitment events

The annual salary for this position starts at $65,000 and may go up from there depending on candidate qualifications. The position comes with a generous benefits package.
