Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and at least three years of applicable experience. License/Certification Required Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Associate Athletics Director works in support of the App State Athletics Department in the following key areas:

Internal Relations:
  • Assist Human Resources with onboarding and orientation for new athletic department employees
  • Oversee training and all processes related to customer relations: greeting fans upon arrival, thanking fans upon departure, answering phone, stewardship and representation of the department
  • Implement monthly Lunch and Learn events inviting organizations from campus over to present and connect with staff
  • Serve as an Ombuds liaison to assist with advice to improve communication and relationships within staff
  • Assist with game day sport administration
External Relations:
Donor Relations and Stewardship:
  • Meet with Former Athletes Association to promote continued investment in university and enroll new and recent graduates
  • Assist development office and App State Sports Properties by connecting donors and sponsors with current student-athletes to promote entrepreneurship with NIL opportunities on accessible message board
  • Assist with campus and athletic facility tours for prospective students of alumni and stakeholders (prospective students not identified as recruits)
  • Liaison with Boone Bigfoots for summer program- assist with sponsorships and season ticket sales

Campus relations:
  • Assist marketing as the campus liaison to invite clubs, professors, and community to home events
  • Collaborate with potential work study employees and oversee Athletic Department Internship Program.
  • Reach out to Undergraduate programs in: College of Business Group Sales, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Graphic Design and Digital Marketing departments to engage students and faculty
  • Connect with influential alumni and stakeholders that impact fan base to shape the narrative on department steps to improve the fan experience
