Design, develop, implement and maintain model structures and
applications to support the mission of the university.
This position is a member of the Administrative Applications and
Analytics team of the VSU Information Technology Division. The AAA
Team develops and supports our custom business applications as well
as third-party enterprise systems.
Typical Allocation of Duties:
Develop applications and other tools -
Develop application specifications and determine best tools or
methods to satisfy those needs and requirements.
Monitor functionality - 20%
Stay current on application functionality by reviewing
documentation and reading visiting user community websites.
Determine functional needs and requirements -
Work with management to determine functional needs and
Project documentation - 10%
Complete and maintain project documentation.
- Work as a member of the team and communicate with manager
- Follow established protocols and procedures regarding
development and data security
- Knowledge of the following:
- Oracle database (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Oracle Application Express
- Visual Studio .NET
Bachelor's degree and over one (1) year of related work
Conditions of Employment
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a

Position Requires completion of VSU’s Annual Compliance Training
course (such as State Business Transactions, Drug Free Workplace,
Anti-Harassment Policy, Introduction to Information Security,

Policy, Conflict of Interest/ Outside Activities Policy, Leave
Procedures for Faculty and Staff, Georgia Open Records Act, Family
