Marketing Coordinator Program Support

  • Assists with tactics on pre and post event checklist (web, program, stickers/ribbons) all face-to-face events
  • Coordinates marketing sign requests for events
  • Creates walk-in slides for events that require them
  • In charge of stickers and ribbons (inventory, ordering, sending to events)
  • Assists with mobile app for face-to-face events
  • Assists with all print programs
  • Project manager for webinars and courses
    • Sends email build requests
    • Develops marketing timelines for each event/online event
    • Creates graphics for each online event (social media, email)
  • Posts email campaigns into shared marketing calendar
  • Submits graphic requests (as needed) for all products
  • Assists with social media campaigns/plans for all products
  • Assists with email campaigns/plans for all products
  • Assists with web updates and changes for all products
  • Attends all core teams

This is a full-time, non-exempt position; pay rate commensurate with experience.

 

Position Summary:    

The Marketing Coordinator assists with implementing promotional plans and associated marketing tactics for EDUCAUSE products and services. The coordinator may create marketing materials, manage projects, and assist in day-to-day marketing initiatives. They use a variety of marketing channels while concentrating on email, web, and social media. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Apply superior project and time management skills in order to execute multiple time-sensitive projects, most of which have organizational interdependencies 
  • Assists with social media campaigns/plans for all products
  • Assists with email campaigns/plans for all products
  • Assists with web updates and changes for all products
  • Posts email campaigns into shared marketing calendar
  • Submits graphic requests (as needed) for all products
  • Attends all core teams
  • Assists with tactics on pre and post event checklist (web, program, stickers/ribbons) all face-to-face events

Qualifications
 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
  • 1-2 years, minimum experience in inbound/outbound marketing campaigns and strategic communications, event promotion, and/or email marketing

Preferred:

  • One year in marketing project management
  • Understanding of the design and print process
  • Experience working with external creative agencies and third-party production vendors with experience in design

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of marketing strategy and tactics, email marketing/testing, and social media best practices
  • Strong writing skills are critical
  • Effective organizational skills -- they are organized; prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently
  • Project management skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated and flexible in a fast-paced work environment; 
  • Basic knowledge of HTML code, web content management tools, and general web-based design
  • Working knowledge of social media as a marketing tool e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Proficient computer skills are required. Applications and tools include:
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photo Editor, etc.)
    • Google Apps (docs, spreadsheets, slides, sites)
    • Basic HTML code and web content management tools
    • Email management system

Salary Range:            

  
The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000-61,000 earned annually. The pay range provided is EDUCAUSE’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this position. The actual salary will be based on non-discriminatory factors such as depth and extent of relevant experience, education, training/certifications for preferred skills, and abilities. We ask for minimum salary requirements in our application to ensure we can meet candidate salary expectations; we do not base salaries on a candidate’s current compensation.
