The Communications Specialist is responsible for creating and
distributing content internally and externally. This position
reports to the Associate Vice President, Marketing, Communications,
and the GTCC Foundation and predominantly supports marketing and
communication efforts for the college. This position is responsible
for creating, coordinating, and implementing outbound communication
to current and prospective students, as well as contacts that
support recruitment and enrollment efforts for the college (ex.
referral sources). This position assists with planning and
implementation of communication initiatives that advance the
recruitment and retention of students that is customer-focused and
aligned with the college's over-arching communication plan, brand,
and mission. They will create, update, and implement
communications, which includes email, text messages, letters,
robocalls, internal and external forms, brochures, announcements,
electronic signs, postcards, banners, posters, or other
communication mediums. This person will serve as a lead content
creator for the Marketing Team and will be an integral part of the
copy-editing and production process for key materials and
messaging.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field of study from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
